Pattern Making 101 |
First a brief disclaimer:
This pattern making technique is ideal for small crafts (tea wallets, mama cloth, sandwich wraps, etc). It's especially great when the pattern will be used over and over again.
To make a pattern you will need:
Felt
Sharpie marker
Paper
Pencil
Ruler
Scissors
Measure all parts of the item you wish to make the pattern for. If you don't have the item on hand, sketch a rough draft and measure your rough draft.
