ReFashion - Jean Jacket Make Over

3:14 PM

I love a good denim jacket for the fall.  They seem to go with everything!  After a bit of weight loss my favorite jacket was WAY too big.  This jacket has gone from a size 22 down to a size 12/14 (just like me).

The prior version of the jacket was rather boxy.  I decided that I wanted something that was shorter and more form fitting.

The back panel was removed and replaced with black t-shirt fabric for a more neutral look.

The waistline of the new jacket was cut from an old pair of pants.

I still have not decided what (if any) design will go on the back.  I saved the old back panel so that it can be reattached if needed.

In the meantime, I’m very pleased with how the jacket turned out!

  1. Kathy, I just discovered your blog, and I love your refashions and the repurposeing the t-shirts into a rag rug. Needless to say I will continue watching you, and thank you for your conscientious of the environment.
