Snow Ice Cream

I LOVE snow ice cream and so do my kids.  This recipe is very easy and is make with ingredients that you're likely to have around the house, even in a snow storm.

For this recipe you will need:
2 packets  instant hot chocolate
3/4 cup milk, cream, half and half or your favorite non dairy milk
Fresh snow

Gather fresh snow and place it in the freezer.

Stash the snow in the freezer

In a Microwave safe container heat the 2 packets of hot chocolate mix and milk for 1 minute.  The mixture needs to be warm enough to dissolve the instant chocolate mix but NOT hot.

Combine milk and hot chocolate mix

Stir to combine milk and chocolate mix.

Put milk in a freezer safe bag.

Pour milk mixture into freezer safe plastic bag and place in the freezer.  Chill the mix until it is very cold but not frozen.

Put the chocolate mix in the freezer until it is very cold

Drizzle the chocolate mixture over fresh snow.  Layer snow, chocolate mix. snow. chocolate mix.

Layer chocolate mix and snow

Stir and enjoy!
